Thomas Cook has launched 300,000 domestic short breaks for the London Olympic Games each including a ticket for an Olympics event.
The Games Break packages are on sale exclusively through Thomas Cook shops and the company’s website, and priced from £99 per person up to £6,499 for an itinerary including the opening or closing ceremonies.
The Breaks include one or two nights’ accommodation and tickets to one or more of a range of events, including all the athletics finals. Games Break Plus packages offer accommodation in four or five-star hotels and tables at top London restaurants. The 6,000-seat velodrome for the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics was officially opened on Tuesday. The venue for indoor cycling and BMX events, expected to come in on budget at around £105m, is the first to be completed at the Olympic Park.
