Columbia Road Flower Market is one of many markets in Central London; a street flower market, it is located in East London. Columbia Road is a road of Victorian shops off the Hackney Road in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The market is in operation every Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm. Traders arrive from 4 am every Sunday morning to set up their stalls. A wide range of plants, bedding plants, shrubs, bulbs and freshly cut flowers are available at competitive prices.
The market also has a number of shops selling bread and cheeses, antiques and garden accessories. There are also a number of outlets selling unusual international edibles, soap, candlesticks and Buddhist artefacts. Are you bored seeing London’s iconic Black taxi cabs? Here is a good news. You will find some Pink taxi cabs around the London streets now. Thanks to Bermuda Department of Tourism. These taxis feature an image of Bermuda shorts and the catchphrase “Feel the Love”.
Moreover, Bermuda Department of Tourism sent seven lucky cab drivers to Bermuda this October to visit the country’s beaches, play golf and learn more about the island. They got to enjoy all this from the back seat for a change, as Bermudian taxi drivers drove them around the island.
Now the cabbies are back in London, driving the pink cabs and eager to share their newfound knowledge of Bermuda.

The Great Northern Palace Company had been established by 1860, but it was unable to raise the finance for the project. However, the idea lived on, and on 23 July 1863 Alexandra Park was opened to the public. It was named after Alexandra of Denmark, who had married Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales, four months earlier.
